Following God's Principles in a Bottom Line World
Many Christians struggle to reconcile their work and faith. They can pray to God on Sunday but struggle to integrate their faith at work Monday through Friday. This keynote is based on my book, God is My CEO: Following God's Principles in a Bottom-Line World. The book reveals insights from 40 business leaders and CEO's on how they integrated their faith and work. This program will be a highly interactive discussion that will enable you to honor the Lord and find a greater purpose at work beyond the bottom line.
Control and Surrender: Our Personal Wrestling Match Between Ego and Humility
There are moments in life where you simply need to "trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding." These moments of surrendering to God are defining moments that create transparency that bring you closer to God and others. When I started the Leadership Roundtable for CEOs and senior leaders, my perspective was they were confident and in control. However, as our safe environment grew, I was astonished how challenging it was for leaders to be transparent and even vulnerable. The expectation for business leaders is to be confident, in control, have your act together, and have the right answers/solutions. In reality, I witnessed leaders who were courageous enough to be vulnerable and share openly with peers. As a result, they were able to make the tougher right choice over the easier wrong choice. Their transparency and courage set a great example for others to follow.
Fear, Failure and Faith
This presentation is my personal testimony. At my lowest point, through fear and failure -- crippling back pain, being fired, and my wife leaving me -- I came to faith in Christ.
About Larry Julian
From a personal perspective, my mission is to honor the Lord by how I conduct my life in good days and in bad days. Each day I do my best to honor the Lord and be a good husband, father, friend and business leader. With that said, I still struggle with worry and self-centeredness so each day I do my best to "fight the good fight of faith" while leaning on the Lord. My struggle keeps me humble, transparent and authentic which in turn helps me connect with my audience and their needs.
From a professional perspective, my passion is to help leaders become instruments for God's noble purpose, useful to God and prepared for service. My mission to create a safe space for business leaders to help them integrate their work and faith to become the true success God intended them to be.
I've authored four books regarding work and faith.
